University of Konstanz are starting the year on a happy note. As part of a newly funded, interdisciplinary research centre that aims to understand the molecular principles of cellular trigger responses, they have 20 fully-funded PhD studentships at the University of Konstanz.
Of special mention are 2 x PhD positions in an innovative Structural Biology project that combines X-ray crystallography, molecular engineering, biochemical and NMR approaches to decode the mechanisms by which proteins sense and react to mechanical forces. Emphasis is placed on kinase mechanoreceptors.
